Dr. Gabriel Smolarz, MD, MS, ECNU, FACE, Dipl. ABOM
Dr. Smolarz is a graduate from the University of Virginia where he finished his premedical preparations and obtained his B.A. in Religious Studies with an emphasis in Bioethics. He simultaneously earned his M.D. and Master's of Science in Bioethics at Albany Medical College.
After completing his internship and residency in internal medicine with distinction in research at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, he became board-certified in internal medicine. Dr. Smolarz went on to the University of Pennsylvania where he completed his endocrinology fellowship and became board-certified in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism. He is board-certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes, & Metabolism and a Diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine
With advanced training in thyroid radiology & pathology, he was the first endocrinologist in Mercer County to earn the prestigious ECNU certification (Endocrine Certified in Neck Ultrasound). ECNU is a professional certification in the field of neck ultrasonography for physicians who perform consultations and diagnostic evaluations for thyroid and parathyroid disorders through both diagnostic ultrasound and ultrasound-guided biopsy.
Dr. Smolarz is Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and routinely teaches medical students and resident physicians. He is an international speaker and lecturer on thyroid disease, obesity, diabetes, and medical education. He has been a member of the Biomedical Ethics committee at the University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro since 2008. When not seeing patients on Sundays, he works at Novo Nordisk as a medical director in medical affairs for obesity.

Dr. Najaf Asrar
Dr. Asrar completed his fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick, NJ and his residency in Internal Medicine at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ. He has been awarded for his exceptional office-based patient care.
He is dual board-certified in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism. He has a keen interest in all facets of diabetes management, osteoporosis and metabolic bone diseases, and adrenal disorders. However, he is experienced in all aspects of endocrine care including obesity, thyroid disorders, calcium disorders, and pituitary disease.
He is currently working towards his third board certification, in obesity medicine.

Erica Levin
Erica graduated from The College of New Jersey, where she received her B.S. in Biology and minor in Psychology. She is currently a medical student and has a long-standing interest in pediatric endocrinology. Erica has also had previous experience working in a general pediatric practice as a medical technician. She is available to answer any questions you may have about Concierge Endocrinology!
